Sara Sparrow, PhD
Dr. Sparrow is Professor Emeritus and Senior Research Scientist at Yale University's Child Study Center and at the Department of Psychology. She was Chief Psychologist at the Yale Child Study Center from 1975 to 2002. Dr. Sparrow is the author of more than 100 articles and chapters in the fields of psychological assessment and developmental disabilities, and is the senior author of the Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales, one of the most widely used psychological instruments available. Her main research interests involve the assessment of adaptive behavior, reading disabilities, child neuropsychology, autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities. She was cofounder of the Journal of Child Neuropsychology and served as co-editor for five years. She recently received the career Scientist award from the American Academy of Mental Retardation.
Lawrence Vitulano, PhD
Dr. Vitulano is a clinical psychologist and associate clinical professor of psychology at the Yale School of Medicine. He is the former chief psychologist of the State of Connecticut Department of Children and Families. He is president of the Connecticut Behavior Therapy Association and serves on boards of the American Psychological Association, Southwest Community Health Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut and the Bridgeport Council of Churches.
Sherrill Werblood, PhD
Dr. Werblood brings decades of experience in special education and psychology to the Board. She is currently an Associate Clinical Professor in Psychology at the Yale Child Study Center and a private practice clinician in Westport, CT. As part of her practice, which she established in 1979, Dr. Werblood conducts psychotherapy, evaluations and school consultations. Additionally, Dr. Werblood is a school consultant for several area school districts, performaing case, program, staff and administrative consultations.
Luis Arzubi, MS in Electrical Engineering
He is currently a General Partner of Tallwood Venture Capital, an investment management firm with a focus on the semi-conductor industry. Before joining Tallwood, he was on the executive team at IBM, serving as the Vice President of the Microelectronics Division.
